ANTICIPATED OPENING DAY! Come on out and help us to kick off the 2008/09 Winter Season! We generally open with intermediate and advanced terrain on Sterling Mountain. There's nothing better after a big Thanksgiving dinner than taking a few early season turns.
Saturday, December 6th
14TH ANNUAL BREWFEST Part 1 – Sample the finest in local & regional beers and wines, with music, munchies, and prizes. From 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm in the Meeting House. For BrewFest lodging information call 800-521-0536.
BREWFEST Part 2 is on Saturday, April 4, 2009.
Saturday, December 13th
CAMBRIDGE DAY – Residents of Cambridge & Jeffersonville, VT get FREE lift lickets, equipment rentals, and beginner group lessons! (Residents just need to show an ID.) There’ll be a lunchtime special to nosh on and a raffle prize drawing at the Madonna/Sterling Base Lodge. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit a local non-profit.

GRAVITY CONTROL RAIL JAM - It's time to dust off the shred sticks and throw down some early season tricks. This is the first of three Gravity Control events; come check out what Smuggs has in store! $15.00 entry fee gets you in to compete for cash and prizes!

WINTER TRAILS DAY - An afternoon celebration of snowshoeing and cross country skiing free for those new to both sports. Smugglers' Nordic Ski and Snowshoe Adventure Center will provide free rentals and offer short instructional sessions from noon until 4:00 pm for first time snowshoers and cross country skiers. For more info, contact the Smugglers' Nordic Ski and Snowshoe Adventure Center at (802) 644-1173. Nationally sponsored by Snow Sports Industries of America.
PHAT DAY! Protect Your Head at All Times! Stop by the PHAT table in the Base Lodge to learn about helmet safety on the slopes.

VERMONT SPECIALTY FOODS DAY - The Vermont Ski Areas Association and the Vermont Maple Foundation will be providing samples of Cabot Cheese, Vermont maple syrup and other delicious Vermont products at the Gazebo in the Village from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. Come sample some of Vermont's finest foods!
HERITAGE WINTERFEST - The Smugglers' Notch Area Chamber of Commerce presents a community clelebration of Winter! Events include the nationally recognized Primitive Biathlon (period costumes, snowshoes, and muskets), a guided snowshoe nature hike at Smugglers' Notch Resort's Nordic Center, children's story hour, sleigh rides, lasagna dinner, a puppet show by No Strings Marionettes (performing The Hobbit), fireworks, and other activities in and around Jeffersonville.
