AutumnFest Activities for Families at Smugglers' Notch
The fun goes on and on for everyone!
These programs are available during AutumnFest from September 1 - October 13, 2008.
AutumnFest Welcome Orientation Join us at the Welcome Orientation in The Meeting House on Mondays during AutumnFest from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Learn about Resort activities and area attractions. AutumnFest Family Ties... In the Afternoon for Everyone
Calling all adults and kids of all ages... come join us for afternoons filled with activities and exploration specially designed for everyone! All programs meet at the Gazebo at 3:00 pm.
Smuggs Sand Daze Sunday Turn sand into sandcastles with our FunMeister Sculptor as your guide. Learn the techniques to build your masterpiece while enjoying hands on fun.
Scavenger Hunt Monday Enjoy some family fun as you make your way around The Village. As the Smuggler says, "find it if you can!"
Friendly Pirate Raingutter Regatta Tuesday Make sea vessels out of common household items and art supplies. There will be a racing contest and awards based on ship dimesions and creative decorating. Hosted by the Friendly Pirate or Silver Long Johns
 Bigger is Better... Lifesized Games Wednesday Play as a family or with new friends. Simple games take on new dimensions when they become BIGGER. Check out our Giant Map Puzzle, Square Peg in a Round Hole and Kerplunk.
Creative Corner Puppets Thursday Puppet fantasy abounds when you build your own Sock Puppet in our hands on art afternoon.
Nature Trek Friday Explore the forests and streams bordering The Village with our Smugglers' guide to learn more about the natural world we live in... Maple trees, chipmunks, leaves changing color and so much more.
Family Field Games Saturday Join us out on the Village Green for some fun and games. Check out various activities with our Omni-ball and parachute.
Family Ties... Your Way! Self Guided Adventure Daily Explore Smugglers' Notch Village and the surrounding area on your own. Stop by The Guest Service Desk or Activities Planning Center located across from 3 Mountain Outfitters for maps.

 "It's your Movie" Night Sunday 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm Join us for your favorite feature film. In the Meeting House.
Goodtime Trivia Monday, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Test your knowledge of musical and TV Theme song trivia from the 50's on. Hosted by with Goodtime Charlie. In The Village Lodge.
Bonfire Sing-along Social Tuesday, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Enjoy an autumn evening at the Gazebo as Goodtime Charlie sings and plays his acoustic guitar. Dress accordingly and bring your marshmellows and sticks! On The Village Green. Rain-site is the Village Lodge.
Bingo Blast Wednesday, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Be a part of the action! Play for cash or fun prizes. Proceeds are donated to The United Way. In The Village Lodge.
*TEDDY BEAR Song & Story Hour Thursday, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm Join The Friendly Pirate and our furry friends Billy Bob Bear & Mogul Mouse at the Nordland Library for bedtime stories and lullabies. Don't forget to wear your jammies and bring your favorite stuffed friend. Juice and cookies will be served.
Dance, Dance, Dance in The Village Lodge Thursday, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Boogie-oogie-oogie with Goodtime Charlie. With prizes and fun for all.
Karaoke Tunes in The Village Lodge Friday, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Everyone has a chance to display their musical talents when Karaoke Tunes takes over the microphone.
Bingo Social in The Village Lodge Saturday, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Be a part of the action! Play for candy and fun prizes. (Sorry, no cash prizes on Saturday.) Yoga For Every Body Tuesday, 10:00 am - 11:15 am, $15 per person. Accomplished yoga instructors lead you through the postures, focusing on flexibility, alignment, strength and concentration. Appropriate for all levels. Please bring a towel or blanket.
Treat Your Feet Wednesday, 4:00pm - 5:30pm, $20 per person Enjoy and herbal foot soak and a beverage. Then learn to give and receive reflexology foot massages.
Introduction to Pilates Thursday, 10:00am - 11:15am, $15 per person Pilates is a method of exercise and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body. |
